Course Description

Course Objectives
Digital Technology will provide a stepping stone for students with an interest in this area to develop their skills further.

Course Content
In this course students will research, design, plan and develop the following digital media outcomes.
1. Building a website using Dreamweaver, 2D design, and animation.
2. Design a gaming software using Construct3, Blender, Unity and learn how to code.
3. A flat-file database, spreadsheet, and word processing for an organization.
4. Editing photos and videos using Photoshop and video-maker.
5. Computer Science Project.

Assessment
Students will also be expected to produce an e-portfolio of all the work done during the year.

Where does the course lead to?
Careers in computer based subjects are some of the fastest growing and highest paid in New Zealand. Future opportunities in digital technology and computing are without boundaries. This course is designed to prepare students who would like to pursue Digital Technology at senior levels.
